(WAGD) Waste Anesthetic Gas Disposal
F-AIR CANISTER (CASE)
ACTIVE: An active scavenging system consists of a piped system that
carries the waste anesthetic gas away. Although there is more initial
upfront costs than passive, long term there is a financial benefit.
PASSIVE: This economical scavenger system incorporates replaceable filter
cartridges to absorb waste gases
(CHARCOAL CANISTER) on each anesthesia machine. See the individual
canister for instructions on when to replace.

ONE NEEDED PER ANESTHESIA MACHINE for existing and new active scaveng-
ing systems:
Waste Gas Manifold (Low Flow & High Flow):
•
Use with the systems above or any fan style system
•
The manifold balances the pressure between the anesthesia machine and
fan system
•
Manifold can be easily added to existing or new anesthesia machine
•
You must choose the correct manifold depending on the pressure your
fan system is creating. For example, the EVC3000 will typically use the low
flow manifold (shown on the left) where the EVC31000 will use the high
flow manifold (shown on the right).
•
The high flow manifold (shown on the right) has a flowmeter (separate
from your O2 flowmeter) to let you manually adjust the pressure.
